WISeKey International Holding (“WISeKey”) (NASDAQ: WKEY; SIX: WIHN), a global leader in cybersecurity, AI, and IoT solutions, announced that its subsidiary WISeSat.Space, a pioneer in secure satellite communications, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with INNOSPACE Co., Ltd., a South Korean satellite launch service provider. The agreement sets the stage for a strategic partnership focused on deploying WISeSat’s next-generation, post-quantum-secure satellites through INNOSPACE’s innovative launch platforms.
Through this partnership, WISeSat will leverage INNOSPACE’s HANBIT series launch vehicles to diversify its launch locations and accelerate the expansion of its secure satellite infrastructure. This collaboration aims to ensure reliable, cost-effective, and quantum-resistant satellite deployments supporting WISeSat’s mission to deliver global, secure IoT connectivity.
“Partnering with INNOSPACE marks a major step forward in strengthening WISeSat’s capabilities in secure satellite communications,” said Carlos Moreira, Founder and CEO of WISeKey. “South Korea’s rapidly evolving space sector and INNOSPACE’s advanced technology align perfectly with our vision for building a resilient, quantum-secure space ecosystem.”
INNOSPACE, one of South Korea’s leading private space companies, provides flexible and affordable launch solutions tailored to the growing needs of satellite operators. By combining INNOSPACE’s agile launch capabilities with WISeSat’s secure communication technologies, both companies aim to drive innovation in cybersecurity, IoT, environmental monitoring, and secure data transmission from space.
“This partnership with WISeSat allows us to merge our dynamic launch capabilities with cutting-edge satellite security technologies,” said Soojong Kim, Founder and CEO of INNOSPACE. “Together, we aim to redefine what’s possible in secure and reliable access to space.”
As Europe’s demand for secure satellite connectivity continues to rise, this collaboration highlights the importance of international partnerships in advancing safe, sustainable, and sovereign space technologies.
This marks the beginning of a long-term collaboration between WISeSat and INNOSPACE, with both companies set to explore further opportunities in space-based cybersecurity, AI-driven satellite applications, and post-quantum communication systems.
