Fueling Growth: Uzbekistan Airways Finalizes Order for Eight More Ultra-Efficient 787-9s

Boeing and Uzbekistan Airways announced today that the flag carrier has converted options into a firm order for eight new 787 Dreamliners. This agreement significantly expands the airline’s total Dreamliner commitment to 22 of the versatile widebody jets.

These ultra-efficient 787-9 airplanes will be integral to Uzbekistan Airways' ambitious growth strategy, enabling the airline to significantly expand its international network. The finalization of the deal took place at the C5+1 Summit in Washington, D.C., and was witnessed by high-level officials, including U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick and Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov.
The signing ceremony included Paul Righi, Boeing Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Eurasia and India; Laziz Kudratov; Howard Lutnick; Paolo Zampolli, U.S. Special Envoy for Global Partnerships; and Shukhrat Khudaykulov, Chairman of Uzbekistan Airways.
