AWS and BBC R&D launch open-source solution for optimizing live media workflows

Amazon Web Services (AWS) introduces the Cloud Native Agile Production (CNAP) project at IBC 2024. Developed with BBC R&D, Sky, Adobe, and CuttingRoom, CNAP is an open-source solution designed to optimize live media production through a unified cloud-based framework.

Advanced Connectivity: Includes Wi-Fi, Ethernet, HDMI, mini-XLR, and 12G-SDI.
Flexible Recording: Supports up to 6K 30P Cinema RAW Light and 4K 120P.
Cost Efficiency: Reduces operational costs significantly compared to existing solutions.
The CNAP demo at IBC will feature a full workflow showcasing media processing from ingest to playout, using technologies from Adobe, CuttingRoom, and others.
