Qatar’s satellite operator is highlighting its Tier-4 certified teleport, advanced media infrastructure, sovereign communications capabilities, and plans for the upcoming Es’hail-3 satellite program at CABSAT SATExpo in Dubai.

Es’hailSat, the Qatar Satellite Company, is showcasing its expanding satellite communications and media infrastructure at CABSAT SATExpo 2026 in Dubai, underscoring its role as a strategic connectivity and broadcast infrastructure provider across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

The company is using the regional communications and satellite industry event to demonstrate an end-to-end portfolio spanning satellite capacity, teleport operations, broadcasting, playout and media services, telecommunications, and managed connectivity.

At the center of its CABSAT presence is Es’hailSat’s 50,000-square-meter Tier-4 certified teleport facility in Doha, which provides the infrastructure backbone for reliable and resilient satellite communications. The company is also highlighting its advanced Playout and Media Services, designed to support broadcasters and media organizations requiring integrated and dependable content distribution capabilities.

Building Sovereign Communications Infrastructure

Es’hailSat is positioning sovereign communications as a key component of its offering, particularly for government and mission-critical customers that require secure, resilient connectivity and rapid disaster recovery capabilities.

The company’s infrastructure is supported by Es’hail-1 and Es’hail-2, which are co-located at the 25.5°/26° East orbital position, a major television broadcasting hotspot serving the MENA region.

Together with its Doha teleport, the satellites provide Es’hailSat with an integrated infrastructure platform capable of supporting broadcasters, telecommunications operators, enterprises, governments, and mobility applications.

The strategy reflects a broader shift across the satellite communications sector, where governments and strategic industries are increasingly prioritizing resilient and sovereign communications infrastructure capable of maintaining connectivity during disruptions and emergencies.

“CABSAT has always been a cornerstone regional event for us and an invaluable platform to connect with our partners, prospective clients, and technology innovators,” said Ali Al Kuwari, President and CEO of Es’hailSat.

“We are thrilled to demonstrate how our Tier-4 Certified Teleport and advanced Playout and Media Services seamlessly integrate with our high-powered satellites to deliver exceptional value across the broadcast, telecommunications, and enterprise sectors.”

Al Kuwari also highlighted Es’hailSat’s focus on mission-critical communications and disaster recovery for government and maritime customers, while pointing to the company’s next major expansion initiative: the Es’hail-3 satellite program.

Es’hail-3 Signals the Next Phase of Expansion

Announced earlier in 2026, the Es’hail-3 program represents the next stage in Es’hailSat’s growth strategy as the company looks to expand its reach beyond its established MENA footprint and strengthen its position across the wider Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) market.

The new satellite initiative is expected to complement Es’hailSat’s existing orbital and ground infrastructure while supporting the company’s broader ambition to become a more globally positioned satellite communications provider.

For Es’hailSat, the combination of satellite capacity, teleport infrastructure, media services, and sovereign communications capabilities provides an integrated platform rather than a standalone satellite offering.

16 Years of Satellite Infrastructure in the Region

Established in 2010, Es’hailSat has spent more than 16 years developing satellite and communications infrastructure serving broadcasters, telecommunications companies, enterprises, mobility applications, and government organizations across the MENA region.

The company is wholly owned by the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) and operates from Doha, Qatar.

Its current infrastructure includes the Es’hail-1 and Es’hail-2 satellites at 25.5°/26° East and the company's 50,000-square-meter Tier-4 certified teleport facility.

As demand grows for resilient connectivity, secure communications, and greater control over critical digital infrastructure, Es’hailSat’s CABSAT 2026 showcase highlights how regional satellite operators are evolving beyond traditional capacity leasing toward integrated and sovereign communications ecosystems.

With the upcoming Es’hail-3 program adding another dimension to its expansion strategy, Es’hailSat is positioning itself for the next phase of satellite communications growth across MENA and the broader EMEA market.
