Kongsberg Satellite Services (KSAT) has signed a new agreement with LatConnect 60 (LC60) to deliver Integrated Mission Services (IMS) for LC60’s SWIRSAT low-Earth orbit (LEO) Earth Observation constellation.

The constellation, backed by the Australian Space Agency and the Western Australian Government, was highlighted during the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) in Sydney at the Western Australia Government booth—further positioning the region as a hub for space innovation.

Under the agreement, KSAT will provide end-to-end mission support, including satellite operations and ground station services. The IMS model offers LC60 reliable, scalable, and cost-efficient solutions to achieve its mission goals.

“KSAT’s Integrated Mission Services combine satellite operations, ground network access, and mission monitoring into one seamless package—while also enabling localisation where needed to support capacity and capability development in Western Australia,” said Venkat Pillay, CEO of LatConnect 60.
“We launched IMS to meet the evolving needs of the industry. This collaboration with LatConnect 60 shows how the model allows customers to focus on their mission while KSAT manages the complexities behind it,” added Eivind Kristoffer de Bads, KSAT’s Director of Satellite Operations.

The agreement reflects KSAT’s long-term presence in Western Australia, where it has invested in capabilities to serve both domestic and international customers. With LC60 headquartered in Perth, the partnership strengthens local collaboration and supports the region’s growing ambitions in the global space sector.
