In a move set to redefine global Earth observation accessibility, SkyFi, a leading Earth Intelligence platform, has announced the integration of ICEYE US synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data into its digital ecosystem.
This strategic partnership grants SkyFi users direct access to the world’s largest commercial radar satellite constellation, enabling on-demand SAR tasking and archived imagery retrieval, all within SkyFi’s web and mobile platforms.
With this collaboration, users can now draw an area of interest, select sensor preferences, and instantly task ICEYE satellites for high-resolution, all-weather imagery. Whether monitoring maritime activity, assessing infrastructure, or conducting security operations, SkyFi users can obtain guaranteed radar imaging, anywhere, anytime, and under any conditions.
“Partnering with ICEYE US brings world-class, all-weather SAR capabilities to SkyFi, paving the way for initiatives that fundamentally change how the public and private sectors access and utilize Earth observation,” said Luke Fischer, CEO of SkyFi. “From tracking illegal fishing at night to assessing flood damage through storm clouds, users now have a fast, reliable way to get the insights they need, when they need them most. It’s a game-changer for industries from disaster response to national security.”
All-Weather Geospatial Intelligence for Critical Operations
The integration of ICEYE’s advanced radar imaging addresses a key limitation of traditional optical satellites, dependency on daylight and clear skies.Using radar pulses instead of visible light, ICEYE’s SAR satellites can “see” through clouds, smoke, and darkness, ensuring continuous, reliable imaging in even the most adverse conditions.
ICEYE’s fleet leverages a phased-array radar system capable of multiple imaging modes, ranging from 50 cm to 15 m resolution, and scanning areas exceeding 10,000 square kilometers.
This capability makes it a powerful tool across sectors including national security, disaster management, infrastructure monitoring, and maritime surveillance, all accessible through SkyFi’s secure, intuitive interface or via enterprise-grade APIs.
“This partnership with SkyFi fundamentally changes how organizations access SAR data,” said Eric Jensen, CEO of ICEYE US.“By offering ICEYE US data through SkyFi’s platform, we’re removing traditional barriers and placing real-time SAR intelligence at the fingertips of decision-makers worldwide.”
Expanding Access to Earth Intelligence
SkyFi’s platform aggregates optical, radar, and aerial imagery from multiple global providers, making Earth observation data more accessible for energy, defense, infrastructure, insurance, and environmental monitoring sectors.
For industry experts, the impact is tangible.
“ICEYE data is world-class, especially for maritime SAR applications due to its unique balance of resolution and swath,” said Dr. Thomas Dowling, Lecturer in Remote Sensing and Geospatial Science at the University of Auckland.“Combined with SkyFi’s ease of ordering and advanced tooling, it’s an invaluable addition to Earth observation workflows.”
With ICEYE US now integrated, SkyFi continues its mission to democratize access to high-quality geospatial data, bringing persistent, global situational awareness to the fingertips of analysts, operators, and decision-makers across the world.
ICEYE US satellite tasking is now available via the SkyFi web platform and mobile app.
