Orbit Communication Systems has secured a new $2.4 million contract from a leading European defense integrator to deliver advanced OceanTRx4 MIL satellite communication systems for military maritime platforms operated by a major NATO navy.
The order reinforces Orbit’s position as a trusted supplier of mission-critical maritime SATCOM for allied naval forces operating in demanding, contested environments. Deliveries under the contract are scheduled to begin in 2026.
Designed specifically for military naval operations, the OceanTRx4 MIL system enables simultaneous multi-band and multi-frequency satellite connectivity, ensuring uninterrupted communications across diverse operational scenarios. This capability is critical for modern naval fleets that require resilient, high-performance links to support command and control, situational awareness, and joint operations at sea.
“This latest order reflects strong confidence in our maritime SATCOM portfolio and our ability to support advanced naval forces,” said Daniel Eshchar, CEO of Orbit. “OceanTRx4 MIL delivers the operational flexibility navies need today, while maintaining the reliability expected from mission-critical military systems. Continued demand from European integrators highlights the growing importance of robust satellite connectivity for NATO maritime operations.”
As naval forces modernize and operate across increasingly complex theaters, demand for secure, flexible, and multi-band SATCOM solutions continues to rise. Orbit’s latest contract highlights how allied navies are prioritizing communications resilience as a fundamental component of maritime defense capability.
