European launch provider PLD Space has announced a major expansion of its investment in launch infrastructure at the Guiana Space Centre (CSG), committing €35 million between 2025 and 2026 to accelerate development of its MIURA 5 launch complex.

The European Investment Bank has committed €30 million to PLD Space to accelerate development of its MIURA 5 small satellite launcher. The deal marks EIB’s first direct investment in small launch vehicles and underscores Europe’s push for sovereign, flexible, and competitive access to space amid rising geopolitical and commercial demand.
